The Little White Studio (by Tegan Johnson Photography) (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. It covers this website (thelittlewhitestudio.nz) and our portrait and booking services.
What information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- Booking and session details, and any preferences you share.
- The names and ages/dates of birth of children being photographed.
- Portrait images created during your session.
- Payment information (processed securely by our payment providers — we do not store card details).
- Marketing preferences, and messages you send us.
How we collect information
We collect information when you enquire through this website, book or attend a session, complete a questionnaire, contact us by email, text or social media, or access an online gallery.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Respond to enquiries and manage bookings and appointments.
- Communicate with you about your session and deliver your gallery.
- Process payments.
- Send marketing emails where you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- Understand how our website is used and improve our services.
Cookies, analytics & tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, understand how it is used, and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. We use the following third-party tools, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:

You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ad Settings and your Meta ad preferences. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
Booking & third-party service providers
Bookings and payments are handled through our booking platform (The Little Portrait Club app, at app.thelittleportraitclub.nz). When you book, the information you provide is processed by that platform to manage your session and payment. We also use trusted providers for email, administration and online gallery delivery. Some of these providers may store or process data on servers located outside New Zealand; we only work with providers we consider to handle data responsibly.
Image use and consent
Portrait images will only be used for our website, social media, portfolio or marketing purposes where consent has been provided. You can withdraw that consent for future use at any time by contacting us.
Marketing communications
We will only send you marketing emails if you have opted in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by emailing us.
Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, using secure, encrypted connections where applicable.
Access and correction
