I'm all for beautiful photographs, but I'm even more interested in the people in them. The ridiculous speeches. The friends you haven't seen in years. Your grandparents on the dance floor. The way your partner looks at you when you aren't paying attention.

I'm a big believer in spending your wedding day actually enjoying your wedding. So we'll work out what matters most to you, make a plan that fits, and I'll capture whatever unfolds.

More than someone holding a camera
A photographer. A timeline wrangler. An extra pair of hands.
I've been photographing weddings since 2014, so I've seen most of what a wedding day can throw at you. I'm actively helpful in the lead-up and on the day itself. I'll help you:

I'll happily help get everyone in the right place at the right time. But when the magic is happening all by itself, I'll get out of the way and photograph it.
The little things
The details matter to me
I LOVE the little details. Your rings get their own wee photoshoot while you're eating dinner. The flowers get worshipped (there's really no other word for it). The tables, the signs, the stationery, and the bits you were still making at 11pm the night before.
Yes, the people matter most. But let's be honest, you've probably poured a disproportionate amount of time, energy and love into these little things. So they matter to me too.
I want to give you a little time capsule. Something you can open years from now and be right back there, close enough to smell the flowers and see everything you poured your heart and soul into.
The human behind the lens
Hi, I'm Tegan.
I've been photographing families since 2010 and weddings since 2014, from my little studio in Lincoln, Canterbury. I'm a mum of two, a professional small-child wrangler, and quite possibly the person crying behind the camera during your speeches.
I get properly invested in my couples and their big moments. Because while I'm passionate about photography, I'm HUGELY passionate about people.

Good to know
How many hours of wedding photography do we need?+
It depends on what you'd like covered. Getting ready through to the first dance takes more time than a ceremony and a few portraits. Tell me your plans and I'll help you work out what you actually need, without padding it out.
Will you help us plan our timeline?+
Absolutely. Timeline help is included with every booking. I'll help you work out how many hours you really need and where the photos fit best, so nothing feels rushed.
What if we don't want lots of posed photographs?+
Then we won't do lots! We'll get the family photos you care about and a few of the two of you, and the rest of the day is yours. I'll photograph what happens naturally.
Do you photograph small weddings and elopements?+
I love them! Coverage starts from just one hour, so little weddings and elopements are very welcome.
Do you travel outside Christchurch?+
Heck yes! Travel within 20km of central Christchurch is included. Beyond that, travel may be charged at the standard IRD mileage rate. Destination wedding? Send me your plans and we'll work it out.
How do we book?+
Have a play with the collection builder, then get in touch. Once we're happy with the plan, a signed contract and a 30% booking retainer hold your date.
